1. 撒母耳敢与以色列人对质，是在为自己的清白辩解吗？ 若不是，他要表达什么？ 何以见得? Was Samuel defending his own innocence when he confronted the Israelites? If not, what was he trying to express? How can we tell?
2. 为什么关于神的信实和恩典，总是要“老调重弹”呢？为什么神要对以色列人谈论“公义”的事呢？ Why must God’s faithfulness and grace be repeatedly emphasized? Why did God speak to the Israelites about matters of righteousness?
3. 以色列人要求立王的想法不对，为什么耶和华还答应为他们立王呢？ If the Israelites were wrong in asking for a king, why did the Lord still grant their request and appoint a king for them?
